Vein Clinics of Arkansas will determine the most effective treatment plan for you and provides the following procedures:

Endovenous Laser Ablation - Also known as EVLA, this treatment involves the use of laser energy treating the great and small saphenous vein in conjunction with an anesthetic mixture that causes the vein to close. Vein Clinics of Arkansas uses the exclusive Sciton Pro-V Laser which offers the following:

Ambulatory Phlebectomy - Also called stab phlebectomy, this method involves the surgical removal of varicose veins through small incisions that do not even require stitches. Usually performed in conjunction with endovenous laser ablation the physician will map the diseased vein using ultrasound before removal. Reasons to choose this method of treatment include:

Endovenous Chemical Ablation - An alternative to surgery, this treatment is also known as ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy. Like sclerotherapy, this procedure uses a chemical irritant, a sclerosant, which is injected into the problem area. Unique to this procedure, a physician will observe the entire process on an ultrasound screen, allowing the veins that are below the surface to be treated. As a result, by causing the deeper veins to collapse, the source of the problem is essentially shut down. A series of treatments is usually required four weeks apart. With Endovenous Chemical Ablation, patients can expect the following:

Sclerotherapy - A popular treatment choice for small spider veins, sclerotherapy is also used on larger varicose veins. A single session will involve our trained technician placing an extremely fine needle into the vein receiving treatment. Multiple injections will then be applied using a chemical irritant, or sclerosant, meant to irritate the vein wall essentially causing it to collapse and be reabsorbed by the body thus restoring proper circulation to the area. For smaller spider veins, patients may receive visual sclerotherapy which is done without ultrasound and usually takes about five sessions done four weeks apart. Receiving sclerotherapy at the Vein Clinics of Arkansas has many advantages including:
